Bookbinding GUILD 24 exhibition heading to Civic Library

Libraries ACT is excited to host the Canberra Craft Bookbinders' Guild latest bookbinding exhibition GUILD 24. GUILD 24 showcases 36 works by 15 local and interstate exhibitors. It highlights, the diversity of interests, creativity and willingness to experiment with styles and materials. This exhibition demonstrates that contemporary fine binding techniques sit comfortably with artists’ books. During the year, Canberra Craft Bookbinders Guild hands-on activities, and the Flip, Flop, Flap bind challenge, have provided inspiration and skills for the design and construction of these bindings. GUILD 24 explores quirkiness, elegance and innovation in book construction.
