From studying at Boston’s prestigious Berklee to landing the dream gig in jazz fusion drummer Billy Cobham’s (Miles Davis) band, to being a mainstay of Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, guitarist and composer Carl Orr’s career has been nothing short of spectacular.
After decades in London and beyond, Orr returns to his hometown with a suite of tunes in his signature sound traversing jazz, funk, bossa nova and rock, earning him high praise from famous fans like Jeff Beck and Sting.
For his special homecoming gig, this South Australian Music Hall of Famer teams up with Artistic Director Slava Grigoryan and revered jazz legend and fellow local James Muller, backed by a brilliant SA band.
