The inaugural Retro Riff 2024 assemblage guitar art exhibition will showcase artist Les Toth’s collection of over 30 guitars with a distinct retro/80s feel, this exhibition will ignite your memories of the 80’s through music and art and photos from his long musical-influenced history, from well known DJ to security to oversea’ s travelling rock bands Les has had a very colourful life as will be reflected in this art.
The exhibition will be staged at the rear of the Cyril Callister Vegemite Museum in an old 50’s retro petrol station and will also include two Vegemite guitars.
On Friday 18 October, 15 November, 13 December, and 24 January, there will be live music and a free assemblage art workshop. Follow these events with a delicious set menu at new local retaurant, Magnolia's Wine Bar and Café.
The event will coincide with the Art Gallery of Ballarat's exhibition Medieval to Metal.
